Edwards Abstract Wins Fiesta Edinburg Parade Trophy

Over one hundred parade entries lined up for the 40th anniversary of the Fiesta Edinburg Parade held on February 23. School, civic and businesses competed for cash and prizes in the competitive float categories. Edwards Abstract and Title Co. was rewarded for their efforts and retro-themed float entry. They received a third place trophy for depicting four decades of music, dance and period attire. The music of the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s came alive as over twenty members of the Edwards Team danced to the music of each era. “The judges really responded to the energy and enthusiasm of the Edwards Team as they were waiting to be judged,” commented Evana Vleck, marketing director and Fiesta Edinburg coordinator. “They were having a great time dancing and just having lots of fun!” she added. The Fiesta Edinburg parade is one of the highlights of a full weekend of activities and features many of the local bands, student organizations, vintage cars and fun for the entire family. “I am so proud of the Edwards Team for acting fast and coordinating the parade entry on short notice. Many thanks to the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce and hundreds of volunteers who make Fiesta Edinburg a huge success each year,” stated Elva Jackson Garza, vice president/marketing manager for Edwards Abstract and Title Co.
