.....Eighteen very generous members of the Edwards Team in Edinburg opened their hearts to children who are less fortunate at Monte Cristo Elementary School.
.....When two of the liasons for the Communities in Schools program visited the office, they explained that they were soliciting funds to award 206 children ages from five to eleven who were considered at risk students. As Arlene Cantu and Rosie Lazo explained their plight, the Edwards team rallied behind their cause and agreed to help as much as they could.
.....Did the Edwards Edinburg Team respond!!!!! The Team collected $393.00 and two new toys! Edwards' employees are a very compassionate and caring group and our hearts went out to these kids who are less fortunate. Ms. Rosie Lazo and Ms. Arlene Cantu were collecting funds for the needy kids to acknowledge their improvement in school and to reward them and encourage them to do better during the new school year. They expressed their deep appreciation as we told them how much we had collected.
